Our day started with a moment of silence at 8:46AM during Safety Huddle. Outside on our campus you could see 2 large Carter BloodCare buses parked parallel, representing the twin towers. Our flags flew at half-staff in the background. We honored the memories of those who perished as well as those who risked their own lives to save others, on September 11, 2001.
First Baptist Medical Center is partnering with Adora Midtown Park/Stonegate Senior Living, Kindred Hospital Dallas, Carter BloodCare, and Southwest Transplant Alliance to make a significant impact on our community as we celebrated unity. We met new friends and formed new bonds within our community.
We had some good laughs and great food. We even had a bulldog in USMC Dress Blues also stop by to visit.
We had a very successful blood drive that will make a big difference in our community. Thank you to everyone for the support and helping with this mission. Thank you especially to FBMC’s very own Selena Warden for her tireless work on this event!
Today was the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on our country. Those attacks had a goal of destroying our unity and spirit. 19 years later we still remember and we still stand together.
