First Baptist Medical Center (FBMC) is working to make safety a priority. Everyone has a role in ensuring quality health care is provided in a safe environment, including patients, family, friends, staff and administrators. In the event you have concerns about quality of patient care and/or /patient/staff safety at FBMC, you are encouraged to express such concerns to the respective Manager of the particular unit/department. If you are not satisfied with the response/outcome of the particular situation, you are further encouraged to notify the Administration of the hospital.
If you continue to have concerns, you have the option to report such concerns to The Joint Commission (TJC), without fear of retaliation. TJC is a national regulatory body that accredits healthcare systems. TJC is interested in the provision and delivery of quality healthcare in a safe environment.
To submit concerns to The Joint Commission: You may submit your complaint by mail, fax or e-mail. Summarize the issues in one to two pages. Please, include the name, street address, city and state of the health care organization.
