This October FBMC joined the Dallas 2019 Walk from Obesity sponsored by American Society For Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Foundation.

Why We Walk

In the United States, more than 93 million individuals are effected by obesity. The ASMBS Foundation’s Walk from Obesity walkathon aims to raise awareness of this growing epidemic, and the need for increased access to treatment.

OBESITY FACT: More than one-third of American adults are affected. Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, some of the leading causes of preventable death.
